We were last inspected in March 2014 and rated “good” in all areas.  Good schools are inspected less frequently than those which “require improvement”, although Ofsted reserve the right to call an early inspection where they have concerns over safeguarding or results.

New inspection frameworks, including the framework for our last inspection, look at “progress over time”: inspections no longer just reflect what inspectors see on the day, but reflect the learning that has taken place leading up to the inspection too.

Inspectors praised the outstanding teaching they saw in subjects as diverse and English, Science and Drama.  They also commented upon students’ positive attitudes to learning and described our children as “polite, well-mannered and friendly”.

Our Post-16 Centre was also praised by the inspector, with students saying they “enjoy their learning, feel well supported and are happy at school.”
